Arrive King Shaka Airport, Dolphin Coast. Meet & greet with your tour guide / driver from Freedom Charters and set off on your journey.

We travel 3.5 hours north to Shayamoya Tiger Fishing Safari Lodge.
On arrival, relax and enjoy lunch on the deck while soaking up the view.
A sunset boat cruise on Lake Jozini will get you into the Safari mood. View rhino, plains game, bird life and perhaps elephant grazing at the water’s edge alongside hippo and crocodiles.

Dinner is either a traditional African Boma Braai or in the restaurant depending on the weather.


Early morning game drive or tiger fishing experience (R500 surcharge for tiger fishing including rod hire and bait). Otherwise enjoy a lazy morning complimented with a full body massage.

Sunset game drive or boat cruise in the Phongolo Nature Reserve.

Dinner is again either a traditional African Boma Braai or in the restaurant depending on the weather.


After breakfast, we head off to the Tembe Elephant Park, arriving in time for lunch and the afternoon game drive.

After Breakfast, we depart for Kosi Bay and check in at Utshwayelo Lodge.

Your playground for the afternoon and the following day are the pristine dunes where the 4 inland lakes meet the sea. Choose from the activities list to add to your package.

Mid morning departure for St Lucia coastal town.

Evening at leisure with opportunity to do the Night Drive in search of Leopard or relax and take in the town festivities.


Highly recommended would be the day spent in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Transfers provided by freedom Charters vehicle. Various stops along the way for photo opportunities finishing at the beautiful Cape Vidal beach for a leisurely swim/walk on the beach and lunch.

Return to St Lucia in time for the Sundowner Boat Cruise setting off at 15h00pm

Dinner is recommended at the Ski Boat Club (own account).

Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park was established in 1895 and lies in the heart of the Zulu Kingdom. The park covers some 96 000 ha and contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora. The Hluhluwe section is in the north and the iMfolozi section is in the south. Animals that may be seen are: black and white rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, nyala, blue wildebeest (gnu), hyena, jackal, warthog, zebra, reedbuck, bushbuck, impala, steenbuck, duiker, kudu, hippo, crocodile and other smaller species.


iSimangaliso Wetland Park was declared South Africa’s first Natural World Heritage Site on 1 December 1999. It is considered South Africa’s third largest park.
The iSimangaliso / Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park incorporates Lake St Lucia, the St Lucia and Maputaland Marine Reserves, the Coastal Forest Reserve and Kosi Bay Nature Reserve. The park has 280km of near pristine coastline and comprises of 328 000 hectares of magnificent scenery.


One of the finest beaches of South Africa, this is the place to get close to marine life as you can snorkel in the low tide and explore the many rock pools of the long stretches of coastline. Also a popular spot for fishermen.


Situated in the heart of Zululand between Eshowe and Melmoth, Shakaland nestled on the top of the Entombeni Hills, overlooking the Phobane Lake.
Shakaland is a living museum of the life and times of great Zulu leader, King Shaka. Experience the sight of assegaai-wielding warriors, share the fascinating secrets of the Sangomas and witness traditional customs such as tribal dancing, spear making and the beer-drinking ceremonies.


Falling from the heights of the Lebombo Mountains down across the Lake Jozini to typical African savannah in the west, this reserve is the oldest proclaimed conservation area in Africa and rich in Anglo and Zulu Boer War history. Proclaimed on the 13th of June 1894 by President Paul Kruger. The area boasts a bird list of over 300 species and a range of plains game including white rhino. The Lake has large populations of hippos and crocodiles and fish species that include the ferocious fighting tiger fish, a very unique attraction.


This remote park, deep in an area of sand forests, pans and wetlands is in northern Tongaland. Tembe Elephant Park offers intimate encounters with some of the largest elephants in Africa. The 300km2 reserve is the ancestral home of the Tembe Tribe who own and co-manage both the Park and the Lodge.


The Kosi Bay Nature Reserve lies on the coast bordering Mozambique and surrounds the unique and beautiful Kosi Bay lake system. Enjoy the orientation of the area and the Tonga fish traps seen from the look out point. Snorkeling – The reserve offers a unique experience with a reef situated inside the mouth of the Kosi system.
